Oslo/Espelkamp, June 2, 2008 --- Together with numerous clients and friends of the company, the HARTING Technology Group celebrated the 25th anniversary of its Norwegian subsidiary – an event that once again underscores the internationalization course of the Espelkamp-based, family owned and managed company that has evolved into a globe-spanning enterprise.
The owners Dietmar and Margrit Harting as well as Philip Harting – board member “Connectivity & Network
s“ as of March 1, 2008 – and Maresa Harting, board member responsible for “Finance, Controlling and Tax” since April 2007, were at hand for the celebrations. The Harting family was also joined by Dr. Michael Pütz, board member “Human Resources, Facilities and Legal Affairs”, and Dr. Frank Schillinger, board member “Production, Logistics and Materials Management”, who attended the celebrations in Oslo.
HARTING Norway was founded in the year 1983, as the Technology Group’s seventh subsidiary at that time, reflecting the consistent ongoing internationalization embarked on as from 1979. HARTING had established the first subsidiaries in France, Great Britain, Belgium, Sweden, Italy and Switzerland respectively. In the meantime, the global network of the Espelkamp-headquartered, family owned and managed company spans 27 countries, and the trend is on the rise.
“The Norwegian market was always interesting for the Technology Group, and this will definitely remain the case,” as Dietmar Harting confirmed his commitment to Norway as a business location. The HARTING customer base in Norway is formed mainly by companies engaged in the industrial and telecommunications areas, and the activities focus on sales of connectors for the electronics industry, industrial connectors and cable systems, as well as electronic printed circuit boards. “Thanks to your strong commitment over the past 25 years and the ou
